Introduction
UnifyApps connects to Workato and returns the Workato Genies in that account as agents, so they can be inventoried, monitored and brought under policy alongside every other platform you run. Each Genie it returns appears on the connection's Assets table; registered Genies appear in the Agent Registry Overview.
What UnifyApps discovers from Workato
A sweep reads the Workato Genies the connection can see. Each becomes a row in the Agent Registry with PLATFORM set to Workato.
Once a Genie is registered, a scheduler fetches its sessions through the connection — every 15 minutes, dropping to hourly after three failed attempts. There is no SDK step to complete.
Workato connections return agents only. There is no model discovery on this connection, and Workato is not an option in + Add Model.

Before you begin
Have a Workato connection — Discovery sweeps a connection. If none exists yet, you can create one in place with
Newinside the drawer (this needs permission to create connections).Know which Workato account you are scanning — One connection covers what its credentials can see. Separate accounts need separate connections.
Add it from the right account — The person who adds the connection becomes its owner.
Add the connection
Step 1: Open the Add application panel
Go to AI Governance > Discovery and click + Add Application.
Step 2: Select Workato
Search or scroll the platform list and select it.
Step 3: Confirm the connection type
Observe · Advisory is preselected and is the only tier available for Workato, so enforcement is not offered here.
Step 4: Choose the connection and connect
Pick the Workato connection to sweep, or create one with New, then click Connect. You land on the connection page, which shows Initial sync in progress during the first sweep.
Register a Genie by hand
You can also register a single Genie without waiting for a sweep: AI Governance > Agent Registry > Register Agent > Workato. Instead of typing a name, you pick the Connection and then the Agent from what that connection returns.
Verify: what you should see
The connection shows STATUS as Connected and CONNECTION TYPE as Observe · Advisory. Once the first sweep completes, its Assets table lists the Genies it found.
Registered Genies appear in the Agent Registry; filter by PLATFORM to see only Workato. See Working with Discovered Agents.
Limitations
Observation only — Controls set to
MaskorBlockcannot take effect on a Workato Genie, because UnifyApps is not in the request path.Flagworks as documented, and every violation is recorded as an incident. No model discovery — Workato connections return agents only.
Coverage stops at the connection's permissions — Genies the connection cannot see will not appear, and will not be flagged as missing.
