Why can't a client see my tool?

Newly synced tools start switched OFF. Open the server's Capabilities > Tools tab and switch the tool's Exposed toggle on. Calling a hidden tool fails with “Tool not exposed”.

Known limitations

• Connect snippets still show {{authHeader}}/{{authValue}} placeholders; the Codex snippet is broken.

• Incidents and Policies tabs show chat-scoped incidents and policies, not MCP-specific ones, for now.

• The Tools tab's Owner and Last modified columns are empty.

• A failed save shows only “Workflow execution failed”, with no further detail.

• Deactivating a gateway can take up to 60 seconds to take effect.
