Connectors is where you manage the apps available to everyone in Enterprise Search and control what they can do. Add an app once, and configure all of its actions in one place.

What is a connector, and what does the Connectors page show?

A connector brings one app's actions into Enterprise Search so the agent can use them while answering. The Connectors page lists your connected apps under an Apps count, each as a card with the app's icon, name, and a tag showing how it connects: Organizational Account or User Connection. Each card's menu offers Edit and Delete, and clicking a card opens it for editing.

Search the list by app name. If you haven't added any, the empty state reads No Apps Connected — "Add a data source to make its tools available across your organization" — with an Add Connector button.

How do I add a connector?

Use Add Connector to open the Directory of Connectors — "Browse connectors to add tools." It lists the available apps under a Total Apps count; search for the one you want and select it with the +.

Apps you've already added don't appear in the directory. There is one connector per app, so to change one, edit its card instead.

Selecting an app advances you to its configuration, where you choose how it connects and which of its actions the agent may use, then click Add.

How do I pick which connection an Organization Account connector uses?

When you choose Organization Account, a Connection picker appears — "Organization account used to index this app for everyone." Use Select Connection to choose one of that app's active connections. Choosing User Connection hides this picker, since each user brings their own.

Only active connections are listed. If the list is empty, create a connection for the app (or re-authorize an inactive one) in Connections, then come back and select it.

What are "Interactive Tools" and "Read Only Tools"?

Under Tools — "Choose when Enterprise Search is allowed to use each tool" — a connector's actions split into two groups:

  • Read Only Tools — actions that only read or fetch, safe to run without changing anything.

  • Interactive Tools — actions with side effects (create, update, send). Any action not explicitly marked read-only is treated as interactive.

This split lets you be generous with read-only actions while keeping a tighter rein on the ones that change data. Within each group, actions are further organized by category.

How do I set the same approval state for a whole group at once?

Each group — Interactive Tools and Read Only Tools — has a setter at its header that applies Approve Always, Needs Approval, or Disabled to every tool in that group in one move. When the tools in a group aren't all on the same setting, the group setter shows Custom to signal the mix; picking a value from it overrides them all.

How do I fine-tune a single tool's inputs, controls, and context?

Each tool row has an Advanced (gear) action that opens a configuration panel with three tabs — Input, Controls, and Context — plus a Test button. Use it to bind or pin an action's inputs, set execution controls (approval, rate limits, caching), and refine the name, description, and output the agent reasons over. The mechanics match an AI agent's own tool configuration.

How do I edit or delete a connector?

Click a card, or its Edit, to reopen its Connection Details and tool settings; Save applies your changes. To remove an app entirely, use the card's Delete — it confirms Delete Connector? and removes the app along with all of its configured tools, taking those actions away from Enterprise Search immediately.
