3 mins READ

The plan is the Solution agent's written proposal for your solution: what it will build, why, and how the pieces fit together. Reading it before you approve is the best way to catch a misunderstanding early.

Overview

Open the Plan tab in the Solution builder to read the plan. It's always available. Before the agent has written a plan, the tab shows "No plan yet" — "Describe the problem in the chat and Solution agent will propose one here." — and an animation while the agent is working on one.

The Plan tab always shows the plan for the whole solution as it stands now, updated each time the agent revises it. Once a plan exists it stays on the tab through approval and building; build progress is shown on the Preview tab instead.

What's in a Plan

The top of the plan shows its title, a one-line summary and a count of what it contains — for example "11 items — 3 objects, 4 screens, 3 workflows, 1 integration."

The plan is organised into sections. Five of them list the things the agent will build:

Section

What it lists

Objects

The records the solution will store, often with how many fields each has.

Screens

The pages of the app.

Workflows

The automations, such as scheduled jobs or notifications.

Agents

Any AI agents the solution needs.

Integrations

The outside apps the solution connects to.

Other sections explain the reasoning behind the plan — for example the requirements the agent took from your description, the decisions it made, and what it has deliberately left out. Items often carry references such as R1 or R2 that tie them back to a numbered requirement, so you can check every requirement is covered.

Browsing the Plan

  • All items shows the whole plan as one document. This is where you'll find the reasoning sections.

  • Tabs across the top — one for each of Objects, Screens, Workflows, Agents and Integrations that has items — show that section as a list, with a count on each tab. Click an item with details to expand it and see things like its fields or trigger.

Reading View, Markdown and Download

When All items is selected, two controls appear at the top right:

  • Reading view / Markdown — switch between the formatted plan and the plan's raw Markdown text exactly as the agent wrote it.

  • Download .md — save the plan as solution-plan.md, for example to share it for review.

The Plan in the Chat

When the agent proposes a plan in Plan mode, a Plan card is pinned above the message box showing the start of that proposal, with Review (opens the Plan tab) and Approve & build. For a revision, the card shows just what changed. See Approving and Revising Plans.

Reading the Plan Outside the Builder

The solution's details pages have their own Plan tab — a read-only copy of the plan with its approval status and the full history of earlier revisions. See Approving and Revising Plans.
