A solution keeps two kinds of version history: the versions you've published, and the snapshots the Solution agent saved while building. You can roll the whole solution back to either.
Overview
Published versions | Saved versions | |
|---|---|---|
Where | The solution's details pages → Versions tab | The Solution builder → More tab → Saved versions |
What's listed | Every time the solution was published | Every snapshot the agent saved as it built the solution |
Restoring | Rolls the whole solution back to that published version | Rolls the whole solution back to that snapshot |
In both cases, restoring changes the solution in the builder — every linked asset plus the solution itself — but not the live app. As the confirmation says: "the live app doesn't change until you publish again."
Note: The clock icon in the builder's chat panel, labelled "Version history", shows your chats, not versions. See Solution Chats and History.
Published Versions
Open the solution from the solutions list and select the Versions tab. Each row is one publish, newest first, with:
Version Number — such as V3, with the version tag if one was entered when publishing.
Version Notes — the notes entered when publishing.
Published By and Published On.
A solution that has never been published shows "No versions found — When your application is published, they will be listed here."
To restore one:
Open the row's menu and choose Restore Version.
Confirm in Restore version V{n}? with Restore this version.
You'll see "Solution restored to version V{n}." and be taken to the Overview page, where the app shows a loading animation while it rebuilds.
Saved Versions
In the Solution builder, open the More tab. Saved versions — "Each version is a snapshot the agent saved as it built this solution. Restore one to roll the whole solution back to it." — lists each snapshot as Version 1, Version 2 and so on, with its Author and Time. The newest is marked Current. Use Load more to see older ones.
To restore one:
Click the version's row.
Confirm in Restore version V{n}? with Restore version.
The builder switches to Preview, which shows "App is building…" while the restored app rebuilds. Restoring isn't available while the agent is working — "Restore is unavailable while the agent is working" — and the current version has nothing to restore.
Before you restore: Restoring replaces the current working state. Save or discard any pending edits first, and make sure you have permission to restore the solution.
Making a Restore Live
After restoring, check the result in Preview, then publish to make it live for your users. See Publishing a Solution.
