A solution can have many conversations. Each one is a separate thread with the Solution agent, but every chat works on the same solution and the same app.
Overview
Think of a solution as one problem with many conversations about it. You might use one chat to build the first version, another to add reporting a week later, and another to fix a bug. Starting a new chat doesn't start a new app — the agent keeps working on the solution you already have.
Chats are private: you see your own conversations about a solution, and teammates see theirs. When you open a solution's builder, it opens on your most recent chat about that solution, or on a blank chat if you haven't had one yet.
Starting a New Chat
Click New chat (+) at the top of the chat panel. The panel clears to "Describe what you want to build".
Type your request and send it. The chat is created when you send your first message — nothing is saved before that.
If the solution already has an app, the new chat is connected to it automatically so the Preview, Code and Data sources tabs carry on working. If that link fails you'll see "Started the chat, but couldn't link it to the app. Its tabs may stay empty." — the chat itself still works.
The Trace tab stays locked in a new chat until you've sent the first message.
Finding an Earlier Chat
Click the clock icon at the top of the chat panel to open History. It replaces the conversation in the panel and lists your chats about this solution, newest first, with the active chat highlighted. Each chat is named after its first message.
Click a chat to switch to it. The panel closes and the conversation loads.
If you haven't had any chats about this solution yet, you'll see "No other chats about this solution yet."
You can also open your chats from the solution's Overview page, under Your chats.
What Switching Chats Does
Anything you'd typed but not sent, and any files you'd attached but not sent, are cleared.
An action that was waiting to be sent in the previous chat — such as an approval clicked while the agent was busy — is dropped rather than sent into the new chat.
The Trace tab switches to the newly opened chat's activity.
Plans and Approvals Across Chats
A plan belongs to the whole solution, so every chat sees the latest plan on its Plan tab. A request to approve a plan, however, appears only in the chat where the agent asked for it. See Approving and Revising Plans.
